11:29 am, Paris 8th. Dancing on the terrace of the Arc de Triomphe empaqueté, 1961-2021. This monumental and ephemeral work by Christo and Jeanne Claude, fully self-financed, has been in the works since 1961. It took 60 years of negotiations and implementation to bring it to fruition. When Christo died last year, I immediately thought of the risk of it being canceled. The artist died shortly before seeing his lifelong dream come true.

It’s the last day of summer. Tonight at 9:21 pm we will switch to fall. The nights will start to be longer than the days.
