Dancing with “Purple” by John Akomfrah, a 62-minutes film broadcast on 6 simultaneous screens.

Purple is an immersive, six-channel video installation exploring man’s relationship to nature and the planet, created by British artist and filmmaker John Akomfrah. At a time when greenhouse gas emissions from human activities are reaching historically high levels and glaciers are melting, Purple poses the question of human responsibility.”

Purple is a Smoking Dogs Films production, commissioned by The Barbican, London, Bildmuseet, Umeå; TBA21-Academy, Vienna, The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and the Museu Coleção Berardo in Lisbon.
