Dance 1599 - 31 May 2019

19:00 p.m., Gentilly. I have been working all day with Jeanne, my collaborator. At 18:30, on my way home, I was driving through Paris on my scooter, I didn’t know where to dance. I said to myself, « Just dance anywhere ». Yes, ok, but « anywhere » is hard to find. As soon as you think you’ve found one, it immediately becomes « somewhere ». All “anywhere »’s are « somewhere »’s, and if when I am about to dance, they become « here »’s. It made me laugh. I thought of EREWHON: Samuel Butler’s term, of which Deleuze speaks about, that reverses the letters of « nowhere » and « now here »,in other words : simultaneously nowhere, here and now. I am an erewhon dancer.
