1:47 p.m., the Witch’s rock, Witch’s passage, Paris 18th. Many legends are told about this rock and this Montmartre’s passage, that has become a private lane since 2009. « Most crazy rumors surround this opaque mineral enigma. The Witch’s rock is considered nowadays a vestige of a disused fountain. Some geologist’s work determined that this rock would come from the Marne river, near Reims. The rock would not originate from Paris area, reinforcing the theory of a dilapidated fountain created by man’s hand. An eccentric hypothesis claims that it would be a meteor » « The Witch’s rock is one of the last remains of the Maquis de Montmartre. It holds an old story that crossed the ages an that all the inhabitants fairly know. The big house next to it, belonged to an isolated and crazy woman. Nowadays this rock is neighboring some of the capital’s most beautiful adresses ».
